Hampshire school games daily challenge:

On behalf of all School Games Organisers (SGOs) across Hampshire and IOW and our Active Partner Energise Me, I am delighted to inform you that we shall be re-starting the Hampshire School Games Daily Challenges, #HSGDailyChallenge, for Lockdown 3.0.

Now, more than ever, it is important that pupils are physically active to support both their physical and mental well-being. Once again, the role of the National network of School Games Organisers has shifted to support and implement the Chief Medical Officers guidelines; for all children to be active for 60 minutes each day, 30 minutes of which is supported by schools.

We look forward to parents and children sharing photos and videos of all the activities they have taken part in. Don't forget to use the #HSGDailyChallenge in your posts and tweets so they can see what your pupils have been up to and the impact this challenge is having across Hampshire!

The main aim of our campaign is to get and keep people moving whilst trying to have some fun!

Scores and pictures can be tagged with the following handles:

Twitter:

@HampshireSGO

@SGO_new

If access to social media is limited, then feel free to email score sheet to the admin office.

We look forward to sharing this journey with you all and we hope you enjoy the #HSGDailyChallenge.

Lockdown after school clubs

The Youth Sports Trust are reintroducing their 'After School Sport Club' on Tuesday 12th Jan at 5pm on YouTube. The sessions are then on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This is a virtual club that children and their families can access free and give the opportunity for all to do some sport, develop skills and have fun. The sessions are led by Athlete mentors from around the country and from different Sports Governing bodies. Each week there is a different focus with Tuesdays introducing the basic theme and Thursdays involving a sport specific session.
